On August 17, VCFD celebrated the grand opening of a new station in Newbury Park, located at 751 Mitchell Road.
More than 50 active and retired firefighters held a flag lowering and raising ceremony to commemorate Fire Station 35 on August 17, 2017.
The new $5.5 million, 11,233-square-foot fire station is located a few blocks away in the Rancho Conejo Industrial. New Fire Station 35 features office and public interface areas, three apparatus bays large enough to house a ladder truck, nine dorms to provide for an engine and truck company, and additional support areas needed to provide for operational readiness.
The station replaces old Station 35, which is a 3,400-square-foot station built in 1962. Visit Fire Station 35Â to learn more.
