Training Center

Public and responder safety is the top priority for the Fire District. It fully prepares its employees for its mission with appropriate baseline training and firefighting and rescue equipment. Advanced levels of training are also delivered in emergency response, emergency management, organizational management and leadership. This training is structured to prepare District personnel for the complexities and integration of the Fire District’s multi‑disciplined, mission. Recruit and promotional training is provided and reflects the physical and professional competencies required. Detailed training and qualification records are tracked and accessible for effective personnel certification management and documentation.

The Training Section is headed by a Battalion Chief and programs carried out by four assigned Captains. Our Training Captains also respond and perform as Safety Officers on large incidents.
