As temperatures rise, so can the associated risks

Water Safety

With summer quickly approaching and temperatures on the rise, the risk of overexerting our bodies and doing too much comes along with it. We want you all to be safe… educate yourself on heatstroke.

If you find yourself going to the beach or cooling off in any body of water please be careful and follow these simple tips.

Increased temperatures mean our green hills will be turning brown soon, and it also means snakes will be coming out. When walking on designated/open trails please keep your eyes open and your senses aware for animals/reptiles. You are walking in their natural environment and they are sometimes hard to see. The VCFD Snake Safety page has great tips on what to do if you come across these reptiles.
